The First 100

How many babies are born in Houston everyday?
ParentsPost.com asked the Houston Department of Health & Human Services. The agency says each day, 191 babies are born in Houston. In 2012, a total of 69,692 babies were born in the Bayou City - 35,364 boys and 34,328 girls.
Those figures are up from 2011 when the daily average for births in Houston was 172. The 2011 total births in Houston was 63,705 babies - 32,054 boys and 30,841 girls.
