HOUSTON MUSEUM DISTRICT DAY 2012


              Let's go museum hopping!

       On Saturday, September 15, 2012, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.,  everyone can enjoy FREE ADMISSION to eighteen Houston museums. Families can walk or they can take FREE PEDICABS from one museum to another. All the museums are featuring special programs of exhibits, entertainment and art and crafts workshops. Food trucks and drinks are available at various locations.   

         The participating museums are grouped into four Walk Zones so you can pick up a map and plot out your course.

Walk Zone 1: The Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel and Houston Center for Photography.

Walk Zone 2: Holocaust Museum Houston, Asia Society Texas Center, The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, Houston Museum of African American Culture, Czech Center Museum Houston, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Lawndale Art Center and Buffalo Soldiers National Museum.
Walk Zone 3: The Jung Center, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Walk Zone 4: Children's Museum of Houston, The Health Museum, Houston Museum of Natural Science and Rice University Art Gallery.
